ABOUT OFF ROAD RACING

Off Roading is an exciting and adrenalin filled discipline of motor sport and an increasing number of competitors are taking up the challenge. Vehicles include off road buggies, production 2WD and 4WD (performance and extreme) and SXS (Polaris and Can-Am).

The Victorian Off Road Racing association Inc. (VORRA), is fully affiliated member of the Motorsport Australia (formerly known as CAMS) and Australia Off Road Racing Association (AORRA). We have members from all over Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

Events test drivers, co drivers, navigators and their vehicles over different track conditions. These are often narrow, consist of mud and creek crossings, gravel pits, open paddocks, undulating land, tight bush tracks, long sandy straights, jumps and some very rough terrain. Some tracks incorporate man made jumps and other obstacles. Race lengths total between 50 kms and 500 kms.

There is club, state and national events, with races held throughout Victoria and other states, and often involve a weekend away camping with family and friends.

VORRA conducts its own Club Championship each year, over several rounds, Replica Saint Laurent Handbags at various tracks throughout the state. The club events are usually one day events on shorter tracks, about 2-10kms per lap. The state and national events are often held over two days, with the lap distance varying from 25-100kms in length, totaling anywhere between 200kms to 500kms per race.
